. I rate this song as one of the signature songs of Sirivennela. (But not THE signature song) because I believe it captures lot of characteristics (but not all) of Sirivennela’s philosophy: .
1) Universality (Every human being can see oneself no matter which profession (s)he is in or which mission (s)he is on) 2) Utility (application) (Message is all of చరణం1 with the theme: నీ శోకమే శ్లోకమై పలికించరా మనిషీ!) [One can listen to this song when the chips are down as well as one is on a high!] 3) Depth (i.e. philosophical depth) [even though there are other Sirivennela songs with more depth.] 4) Inspiration (Positive spirit) [What more positive spirit do you need?] 5) connecting to భారతీయత [analogy to రాముడు] 6) Human concept (మనిషి తనం) [అన్నమయ్య is an ordinary human just like any one of us. He went on to become a great with his effort and contribution. I felt it is misleading when I watched that telugu movie and the way he was portrayed as God. (I understand it is one belief though). Here Sirivennela stands out - రాముడు is also a human and went onto become great – which is what conveyed in “ఆ రామగాథ నువు రాసుకున్నదే కాదా” and so follow his steps as “ఆ అడుగుల జాడలు చెరపొద్దురా మనిషీ”.
